All modulesModule 01 · Financial Reporting

Reporting that is already in statutory form, not regrouped into it.

Most finance teams keep books in one shape and report in another, then spend the close bridging the two. PROFINLEX carries the presentation requirement inside the ledger head itself, so the statutory financials assemble from the trial balance rather than from a regrouping sheet.

What this module does

Capabilities, stated as behaviour rather than features.

01

Chart of accounts mapped to presentation

Every ledger head carries its Schedule III Division II or Division III line, its note reference and its cash-flow classification. The balance sheet, statement of profit and loss and cash flow assemble directly from the trial balance, with prior-period comparatives already aligned.

02

Recognition rules that stay applied

Revenue is tested against the performance obligations recorded on the contract under Ind AS 115. Leases are measured under Ind AS 116 from the lease record, not a side schedule. Expected credit loss runs on the receivable ageing under Ind AS 109. Each is checked when the entry is posted.

03

Reconciliation as a standing state

Bank statements, GST returns against books, TDS as per Form 26AS against the deduction register, inter-company balances, and every sub-ledger against its control account. Differences appear the day they arise, with the entry that caused them attached.

04

Multi-entity consolidation

Group structure, holding percentages, elimination entries, unrealised profit on inter-company stock and non-controlling interest tracked per period. Consolidated statements are produced for any period on request, not rebuilt once a year.

05

A close calendar with sign-off

Each close step has an owner, a due date and a reviewer. A period cannot be locked while a control account is unreconciled or a mandatory sign-off is open, and the lock itself is recorded with who applied it.

06

The full statutory report set

Schedule III financials, notes to accounts with the disclosures each balance actually triggers, CARO 2020 clause working papers, ratio disclosures, and tagging prepared for AOC-4 XBRL - generated from the same ledger the operations team posts to.

Rows are verified one at a time, exceptions are held with the reason attached, and the readiness figure reflects only what has actually passed.

What it raises without being asked

Flags this module produces on its own.

Each of these is a rule with a defined trigger. When it fires, the line is held, the reason is written, and an owner is named - before the position reaches a report.

  • A control account that no longer agrees with its sub-ledger
  • Revenue posted without the performance obligation being satisfied
  • A lease payment expensed where Ind AS 116 requires recognition
  • Depreciation on a life that departs from Schedule II without a technical justification on record
  • A period being locked with a reconciliation difference still open
What it makes unnecessary

Work this module retires.

These are not inefficiencies to be improved. They exist only because the system of record could not answer the question, so someone built a file beside it.

  • The year-end regrouping workbook
  • A separate Ind AS adjustment file kept outside the books
  • Consolidation worked out in a spreadsheet each March
  • Note-to-accounts drafting from scratch every year
Module 01

See financial reporting running against your own period.

We will take a period you have already closed, apply this module's checks to it, and show you every line it would have held - with the standard it was tested against and the evidence it would have asked for.

  • No longer needed: the year-end regrouping workbook
